Circling in Space

I got a new laptop computer for Christmas. It was my attempt to place all of my university media files on a personal computer. I love this new device and just had it all set up the way I wanted it. I was using it for my current courses and was thrilled with its performance. Well, on Tuesday the monitor went out. It's a month old!! My son, the computer expert, checked it out and told me it was history. So I took it back and got a new one. Fortunately, I was able to salvage all my files (I think). Today I went to teach a class using my work laptop (which I have used in the past few years and contains all my university files). My entire file for that course was missing from my documents. Boy, do we rely on technology. Somewhere in cyberspace there is a file for International Childrens Literature floating around. If it should end up on your computer, please let me know. Oh well, next week has to better! :-)

I have had computer problems in the past to. I personally rely on technology more than I should. Just the other day I was complaining because the internet was not working as fast it should. Next time I should not complain so much and be grateful I didn't lose the paper I was working on. Gotta love technology.

Ole' Mr Funk,
I was in the Tuesday night class when your new lap top went out. Even though that was a problem for you, you did a great job in spite of it all.It is amazing how much we rely on modern technology and feel lost without it. I can't imagine how it was before computers.

Sometimes, we need to back up our files with pen and paper. Systems like computers is susceptible to crash down or get errors.

It's amazing how the world has become dependent on technology. But regardless of the problems, and there are several, computers still make life quicker and easier. It's quite scary how it does change everything we depend on. Well I will let you know if your file shows up! I just received an email dated back to 2007!
