Valentine for Children

It would be nice if on this Valentine's Day, the legislative groups in all the states would decide to give a special Valentine to young children. Fully funding and supporting early childhood programs would be the best gift children could receive. Giving children the opportunity to have a successful beginning to life! It wouldn't even need to be wrapped up in a heart.

It's reassuring to see so many advocates for the Early Childhood Years. People do not often understand the value of a quality education for young children. Government would not only be benefitting this young children but would also benefit society with the long term effects provided by a quality education at these crucial years.

I really am glad to see people advocating these important issues like this, as I myself am. Although still a college student, I do also work in early childhood education in a child care setting. I see the importance of governemtn funding and what it does for schools, as well as to help underpriveledged families to pay for child care for their youngest children. I don't know what we would do without it.

I think thats a great idea. I was lucky and my mom worked with me and some of my little friends they called it joy school. I think it is really important for those children that don't have parents willing or able to work with them to have something they can use to help in early education. morganb monday class
